Thus completing all of these modes with a Flawless rating will light all 9 Saucer lights. This rating must be achieved in order to obtain one Saucer light. If the mode is completed properly according to the directions on the video display, the player will receive a "Flawless" rating. When a mode has been completed, the video will display a report. Each individual mode continues until it has been completed, even between balls. there is no "start mode" shot), with the exception of the middle group (Saucer) which begins after one of the other two mode groups has been completed. The modes move from left to right in sequence automatically after the previous mode has been completed (i.e. The initial mode begins upon its selection at the start of the game (either manually with the action buttons or automatically after the choice times out).

These 9 modes are divided into 3 different groups and are listed below. There are 9 different main modes which can each be completed to obtain a Saucer light. This was originally disabled in 1994's Road Show pinball machine by default, too, but was since enabled by default again.
#NUCORE PINBOX REVENGE FROM MARS VP FREE#
This default behaviour can be changed by the operator though.Īdditionally the match sequence at the end of a pinball game (a random free play award) can be disabled. Instead of awarding the player a free game when reaching a certain number of points, it was decided to rather award extra balls (default at 50 million and 200 million). This game was the first to use the Williams Pinball 2000 system that overlays interactive video onto the mechanical playfield (see also Star Wars Episode I).Īn additional first was the default absence of a replay/special. It is the sequel to the similarly themed Attack from Mars. Revenge from Mars is a pinball machine designed by George Gomez and manufactured by Williams Electronics Games (under the Bally label) in 1999. I'm lucky that my RFM still works, but I could ensure you that I would not sell the pieces or stock it somewhere in my home, if it breaks, I cannot fix it and Nucore is still only announced to be back one day.Pinball machine designed by George Gomez Revenge from MarsĪdam Rhine, Scott Slomiany, Jack Liddon, Scott Sanders, Dave Mueller If you are looking on their internet site, you will not find any information ("news") since years and there is still a link to PinballLife to buy it, which shows the same page since ages without any details as well (nothing can be bought there). No detailed information when it will be back (only some posts in the forum that it will be back one day). No detailed information about why they have stopped it. Now it is gone (from one day to another) and honestly their communication is quite bad. When I bought my RFM, Nucore was available and this "security" was one of the reason why I bought it. You guys bought the game knowing it was unique parts wise. What did you do prior to Nucore? Fix the original parts.

I am honestly confused why there is such a sense of entitlement here. I suppose the best solution would be for a legal version of Pinbox to made available for a reasonable price and for the loyalties to be split. But as it stands lawyers and suits are preventing people from enjoying their property. If Nucore was still available then fair enough I can understand the resentment for Pinbox.
#NUCORE PINBOX REVENGE FROM MARS VP INSTALL#
I doubt many are out there, unless someone starts parting out Pinball 2000 games with them installed, which is extra unlikely if someone went to the trouble to install a Nucore in the first place.Īnd that is the point I was making. While you could technically buy one used, the people that bought it in the first place bought it for a reason, and will almost certainly want to keep it. After Pinbox come out, there was talk that Nucore would be sold again. Stoptape - Northvibe is correct, I believe - I think they stopped production a couple years ago. Am I understanding correctly that basically any modern cheap computer will do the trick? Thanks for the replies, everyone! Glad to know Pinbox is functional!īischt, thanks for the nice break-down.
